Last year in September I had written about the problems we had with our home from Maple Leaf - after trying to get ahold of Roy Andrews with no avail - we started to right to Maple Leaf directly.  Unfortunately, they didn’t respond either.  You see - last week we had a rain storm again and my house was flooded with water by the time we got up, so not only having to clean up everything - we had to throw away yet another carpet for the door - this is like the 6 one that we had to throw away.  We are definitely giving up on Maple Leaf homes and advice anyone thinking of getting it - not to.  Our next buy is going to be a  Outer Banks vacation homes no more Maple Leaf Homes for anything - anything even remotely associated with Maple Leaf is not going to be in our discussion.

This is my dream tub and I really don’t know if It is me or just about everyone - that our tub has just got to be right in order for us to enjoy our soak.  I love my present tub but nothing compares to this one I had been eyeing on for years.  This tub reminds me of an old - fashioned tub my grandparents used to have when I was a kid.  We were never allowed to use it because the energy auditor at home said it was too expensive to run the tub then - but that was during the 70s.   I would love to get something like this - but at a reasonable price of course - else the spouse would probably not let me buy any handbags no more.   If you know of someone or somewhere I can get this tub at a reasaonable price - please let me know.

If you don’t know by now, the spouse just got rid of his 53″ rear projection tv and bought himself an 52″ plasma with his Aeroplan miles from Future Shop.  After waiting for its delivery for 2 months - yes! you heard me right 2 months the spouse is now thinking of getting a cabinet to put the plasma on or to hang it on the wall and have a Amish fireplace for decorating purpose.

I have absolutely no objection in getting one if only our tv room is bigger - but to get rid of the rear projection tv - a huge monster and the bridge tower he had bought for that particular tv some 5 yrs ago and then to have more than we need - i told him no way.  Men!

We have a place in town called Easy Home - this place does a rent to own deal with all your furniture and appliances need - even your electronics, be it a Wii or an Xbox 360 that you need.  No credit check and usually for those who have bad credit or no credit.  Buying from Easy Home is quick but it certainly is a devil’s contract.  I can buy a home theater seating for a couple of thousand dollars but if you buy it from Easy Home - you will probably end up paying like $10K by the time you are done.  I strongly advise against buying from Easy Home of course but I know some people wouldn’t care - even if they were relative of ours - but you can be sure they are going to live to regret it because it might look like only $36 a week but you are actually paying like almost $200 in payment a month - in which you can easily get a bank loan for less.  For me and mine - we rather save enough before buying anything we need.  You certainly do not need to go into debt for a gaming system nor a laptop.

Pull out kitchen tap is nothing new but I haven’t seen them around here but after my bariatric surgery i’m going to look out for one because it is so much more convenient to have one in the kitchen sink when the in-law who stays overnight every now and then loves to wash her hair on our kitchen sink.  You see it’s very popular to have a bath tub here but walk in showers are not so common in this part of Canada for reasons unknown to me.  And i am guessing she doesn’t feel comfy to take a shower at my house nor a bath - so that’s what she does all the time.  But how uncomfy it is right to do it in the kitchen sink - so a pull out kitchen tap is for that purpose - oh yes ! the spouse does that too when he is in a hurry and can’t take a shower.

I have too many Tupperware and not even shelf space in my kitchen - you do not want to be one opening my kitchen cabinets anytime soon.  Looking through some insurance advertising I cannot help but noticed a column in the local papers about under shelf basket that one can buy extras and online for your extra dishes or even dish towels.  These are italian made and vinyl coated so no worries about rusting.   No special installation as you can see, just simply slide one onto an existing shelf.  Price range from 6.99 - 8.99 - not expensive at all and definitely would look good with any cabinet.

We have a home office all because we do a lot of work - i mean office work at home too.  Running a business is not easy as we all know and we have to have 2 of everything because we still need to work from home whether if it is because we are ill or we are already home from work.  Our home office is very well equipped with printers like the epson tm-t88iv, fax machine and the works like tele-conferencing phone, shredders and all sorts.  What I don’t like about it ?   I think it is well and good if it was mainly for the man - but you see I spend as much time in the home office as the spouse - so shouldn’t it be decorated or/and painted to be more feminine?  As much as I would love to do it my way - I have to think of the spouse too right? and what if the office people comes home for a meeting? *sigh* - so here I am searching for a perfect home  office for the two of us.  If you have any ideas let me know.

I have been looking for the right dresser for the longest time and while i was reading up on  proactiv reviews , the spouse showed me this from  West Elm. Slim and narrow - just right for someone without a lot of space in the room but yet very sleek looking - i could live with that.  But at almost $400 + shipping - it’s a bit more than what i want to pay for for a dresser.  But having said that I wouldn’t mind paying more for an antique one.. but if you are in the market to get one - try looking at West Elm - they have it in different colors.

Since I will be needing natural cure for hair loss as my hair is still dropping like no one’s business - I’ve decided to invest in the new addition from the iRobot family.  It is said that the Dirt Dog is a heavy duty cleaning robot unlike the others that were from the same line.  This one can clean your workshop, basment and even garage and has industrial cleaning power.

Compared to the Roomba, the Dirt Dog has a 40% larger capacity waste bin and high-speed 1000 RPM counter-rotating brushes. It has enough power to easily sweep up nuts, bolts, small nails, sawdust, dirt and other small debris (not sure about rodents) and is meant primarily for hard surfaces and shop carpets, not your nice shag. So iRobot now has cleaning bots all over the home.

I’ve always liked to incorporate some of my asian cultural into our home for the sake of our kids because I’ve always wanted to make sure that they know about our grand history behind where I was born.   So I’m inclined to decorate my house with lacquer silkscreens of the lucky fishes or even blossoms.  Don’t lose sleep on it and get lots of blackheads just because you want to know where I am ordering it.  In fact, I found a place that is very reasonable but the shipping and freight not included.  The silk screen looks very huge - so it will cost me a fortune you think?  i hope not else the spouse wouldn’t be too, too happy eh.
