Since the daughters and I loved shopping so much  for wholesale clothing  you can imagine how full our wardrobe is – in fact, we need more space in our wardrobe for our clothing and for the longest time, we had meant to get another one.  Now that we have more room in our basement, we decided that we will finally have one built into the wall and we’ve decided that we want a sliding closet door – like the one above.  Many years ago, back in Asia – I had the exact same closet door – semi transparent looking ones and I loved it.  So this time, I am able to get the same kind of sliding closet doors because I saw one in Home Hardware and it’s not as expensive as I thought it would be.  But the spouse had told us that we really need to give away some of our old clothes that we are not using – that way we don’t need to build another one anytime soon.  Actually, the next time, I prefer a walk in one – haha!

I need a new vanity table ever since finding  jewelry online cheap – me and my daughters are currently hooked to getting all these nice jewelry at a very good price – really cheap.  These are not even costume jewelry but real jewelry at less than 50% off on some items.  So in order to store all these new jewelry that I had been buying of late – a new table is a must.  I’ve seen on from Ikea and will head out to Ikea to check it out soon.  I had wanted an antique one before but it looks like I have to shelf the idea since I have so many things to store.

I was watching a show back in Hong Kong when I came across this little device that was introduce in the show.  Apparently, by using this faucet aerator, you get to save water without even noticing that water had been turned down a little.  How it works is by using the air that it sucks in and then outputting the water making it looks like you have the same amount of water but you are actually saving water.  Some may opt for the low flow faucets but I prefer the aerator ones because it makes me feel like I’m using the same amount of water to rinse my dishes.  So if you are into saving water and saving money – buy a faucet aerator for about $9.99  – cheap right? and there you go saving water immediately.

We figured it was about time to have the laundry room fixed up this year and managed to get some friends to help us out.  We provided all the material that they need, from paint to nut driver and floor tiles and even got a licensed electrician to help us move some major switch around.   Work had just begun slowly but surely and I can’t wait for the finish work because having a working laundry room would definitely motivate the kids to do their own laundry for their excuse now is that they don’t want to go into a dirty room.  Now once I’ve pretty up the laundry room, they would have no excuses – in fact, they can always do their homework in the laundry room while waiting for them to be done – so that the kids don’t have to squabble that one is in the other’s face.

Any kid would love to have their own wheel barrow to transport the dirt around or even another lil’ friend  – so if you are like my friend and can do it own your own – power to you else you have to be like us and spend $50 to support your friend.

Found at a local antique store – these french crystal prisms girandoles with marble base are made in France in the 1840s – going for $495 each – very expensive but very tasteful if you asked me.   I really loved them and was so tempted to buy them but at $495 a piece – the spouse said maybe the next time *sigh* – cannot shop with the spouse.

Everyone needs a rocker at home don’t you think?  I used to be afraid of sitting on a rocker and rock myself for fear of falling over and embarrassing myself – how silly was I.  A rocker can be so relaxing and I only found the joy of using it when I had my kids.  Nursing them on a rocker was an excellent choice, this may not be the best rocker but it did serve its purpose  – a little plush pillows and some cozy cashmere throws – it was a perfect way to rock a baby to sleep.

No this is not a stained glass window but a cheap alternative to it.  For someone to stain such a large piece of glass window – it would cost a fortune.  But now you an fake it with window film – found at Home depot for less than $35 – and it looks just as pretty if not better.  I wished I had some windows to put films on – but for now I can always admire them.

We could definitely use one of this market umbrellas at PatioUmbrellas.com for our patio in the backyard this summer since we don’t have a sun roof or anything on top of our patio to protect us from the sun when we are sitting out there in the summer.   But I told the spouse I don’t want to get just any umbrella – I want to get something that is pretty sturdy and does it job and not fly off when the wind is strong.   This one tilts to an angle depending on where the sun is coming from and you can raise it or lower it with a crank on the side of the umbrella – so no worries of having to handle a heavy top umbrella while you are trying to maneuver it or waiting for the husband to come home and help you.  I loved that it’s huge and it comes in different colors – I would loved to buy a burgundy one but if you prefer pink – go right ahead.

Found this on a local yard sale made of recycled wood, glued together but lined with cedar and pine, pretty unique but glued together is what makes me worried and the asking price was $370 – a little steep by my standard.  But it is a nice wooden chest and for some people this piece would go well with their living room.

I really liked how it looks from the outside – and the only thing stopping me from buying it is the price and also because I already have a wooden vintage chest but for those out there – who would like to purchase it – let me know – and I’ll give you the contact for the person who hand made it.
