While getting some mens ties for the spouse – i came across this Star Wars mold for pancake and thought to myself – i have to buy them.  But $20 for 3 cutters – is a wee bit expensive for my liking plus it’s a pretty small mold.  But every household with boys in them – must get one – so i succumbed to my weakness – to please my mens – the big one and the little one and bought them.  So if you are a Star Wars fan or know someone who is – this might be a great gift – for just about any occasion.

I don’t know about you but at my home – i make sure we have fresh guest’s towels at our home all the time and if my house guest/s needs wrinkle creams i can provide that too – hahah!  But yes, do you keep your towels and the guest/s one separate? or do you let your house guest/s use yours as well?

I find that it is more personable if you have the guest/s towels in their guest/s bathroom – but what if you have a common bathroom and no guest/s bathroom.  Now that can be tricky eh?  I’ll go hunt for towels with “guest/s” written or sewn on it.   I can’t imagine wanting to use the host’s personal towels  - would  you?  So when i saw some for sale – i always buy them and keep them.   What about you?

Storage for the princess room has been an issue for a long time now – she has too many toys and all sorts of stuff – from  custom hats to movies. story books and gadgets.   We’ve been trying to find a solution for storing everything and resortted to getting those boxes that one can place under her bed.   But i noticed they are so hard to pull out and just unsightly even though they are supposed to be outta sight.

So when I saw this featured at ohdeedoh – i had to quickly take this picture down to get my inspiration from  – but the only thing is, we still need a sort of a chest of drawers for her clothes.  Don’t get me wrong, she already have a walk in – but her dresses are just way too much.  Clothes from her grandparents, aunt and godparents are just massive.   So yes – still i would like a chest of drawer but what kind – i’m still keeping a look out.

It is that time of the year to store away your summer and fall stuff and all your traveling Kipling luggages as well.  In our home, there is much storage place because our basement is used for a lot of other things.  So how do one expand your storage area?  What I do is to ease up some place like under the bed or part of your closest and pack up everything into storage packages.  I don’t spend money on buying special bags to maximize space but I use storage boxes and packages that one can stack on top of each other.  A side of all our wardrobe is used for seasonal storage and the rest of the place is for our other daily stuff.  If you are like myself and shares a wardrobe with your spouse, then you will have to make him store his in the study room.

While putting away the men’s tuxedo , i realised that the kid needs a proper dresser or a proper kind of storage unit instead of using the baby cabinets that we had gotten for her.  Now that Wicker Emporium is having a sale on all their storage unit .. it’s high time we can revisit the idea.  Something like the above may be almost 30% off its original price.. but it wouldn’t do us a lot of good because the kid has way too much clothings.  But i love the colorful baskets and know that it matches the decor in her room, so I’m gonna check it out this weekend to see if they have a bigger unit for a good price.

One can never get enough of a coat or clothes tree and a kid’s room definitely needs one too.  These colorful ones are just the type for my kid. Now there is no excuse for not hanging up her clothes or leaving them on her lemonade stand eh. Hang hats, coats and just about anything you want – even a book bag.

Hey kid, why don’t you make like a tree and hang up your clothes. Four pegs for hanging hats, coats and other stuff that used to end up on the floor.  I like that there are so many colors to choose from.  I’m getting the red one.  And for $59, it’s definitely worth it – the land of nod here we come.

Ikea wardrobe had inspired me for many years.  When i bought my 2nd home.. i had my designer, designed a similar wardrobe like this for me.  Although it didn’t quite turn out the way it should.. it was still ideal.  So now with this new home in Canada.. i know i can get this done.  I don’t like the wardrobe we have here in Canada.. the non see bi-folds .. isn’t really my idea of beauty.  It’sd functional .. but nothing to brag about.  With this Ikea PAX wardrobe .. one knows that you cannot afford to mess things up.. coz’ everyone can see what’s in it.  A wee bit more expensive.. but this is what i want for my guest room.. because then my guests can see where all their things are.. and also we can see what’s going on.. when we are cleaning their bedrooms.. during their stay with us.  Awesome no..?
