Have Your Lemon In The Winter

Posted by Trendy Chick on February 15th, 2010

Who doesn’t love their lemon right? even in the winter, we need our ice lemon tea and what better way to have your own lemon from your own home. Wait a minute – I hear you saying – yes, we do have long winters here and winter is terribly wicked.  But I need my lemon for my best laid diets for quick weight loss , so i looked for ways to not only grow my lemon tree all year round and also as a happy decoration for my home in the winter.

So is it hard i hear you asking again ?  not really – i took a look at what i can find online and it looks like lemons and limes unlike oranges and tangerines that needs more heat, the latters actually do very well inside.  But when purchasing your tree, make sure you get one that is 2/3 yrs old and at least 3 ft high.  then plant them in a container at only 2 inches larger than the root ball.  I’m so excited now, I look forward to my lemon tree from our local nursery.
