Rebuilding Haiti

A customer was in our store today and told me that he had really good news, the first thing that came to my mind was - did he just become a grandfather? or maybe, he was getting married again or strike some lottery but nope, this man - is happy and jubilant because the food and goods they had collected for the people of Haiti has gotten a confirmed flight from Air Canada to fly to Haiti.  No he isn’t in the motorhome towing business but a humble Hair stylist and owner of his own hair salon but these magnanimous and unselfish folks put me to shame.  So here i am stopping to think how i can help rebuild Haiti - the less fortunate people.  Now you can make a donation and make a difference to the world - don’t wait for your friends, don’t wait for your neighbors - do the right thing.

Hands Across The Sea is a non-profit organization serving children and their families in Haiti. Founded and run by Karen Huxter, HATS includes an orphanage, a school serving children from preschool to grade 9, serving 230 children, many of whom are sponsored by individual donors in Canada and the U.S. The children receive a high-quality nutritional drink and a hot lunch each school day. Finally, HATS-Haiti provides ongoing support to families in the community with financial aid in times of crisis, nutrional support, clothing distribution, and assistance with medical costs at the nearby hospital.
