Entertaining This Christmas

We will not be doing our usual Outer Banks vacations with the extended family, therefore i’m looking for entertaining the family here at our home.  While the above is good for the summer, i don’t want my christmas setting to be only green and red.  So i’m in search for a good way to decorate the dining room when I am entertaining but having said that I don’t want a too elaborate setting because the people I’m inviting – the extended family will not really know how to appreciate it.

Something like this is more my style but i still have a few more weeks before Christmas, so I’m gonna continue on my search for decorating the dining room and house for entertaining.
