Pussy Willow

The Chinese New Year is a very important occasion to celebrate. I am hoping to continue this tradition even though I am no longer living in Asia because I want my children to know their roots and where they came from.

Every plant or flower pot put up to decorate the house during Chinese New Year represents something good.  Like these pussy willow, it is believed that it symbolizes rebirth and new growth.  Flowers are supposedly used to symbolize wealth, a career promotion and luck with everything one does during the new year.  It is believed that good fortune will come your way .. when you have fresh plants, flowers and pussy willow in your home during the 15 days of Chinese New Year.
