Home Inspection Yarmouth, NS Area

4 yrs ago, we bought our house in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia… and even though it was a new house.. we brought in a Home Inspector. .to make sure that the house was worth buying, afterall, it was the biggest investment for us.  We didn’t want to be stingy and find out that the house was not totally fit.  At about $400 for the 30 mins inspection.. the house was given a clean bill.

4 yrs later today, we had a wind storm that took our shingles off and before this storm.. a few.  We brought in a carpenter to find that the shingles weren’t done properly in the first place.. and should never had come off from the wind.  There was a patch showing water damage on the roof right now.. and I’m darn upset… about it.

So if you ask me. .if you should spend $400 to get in a certified home inspector.. i said not.  Should i ever buy a house again.. neither would i get in a home inspector.  Some common sense on anyone’s part .. can save you a lot of money.. and resentment.. and the feeling of being cheated is not nice at all.  I would never recommend the Home inspection company we used here.. ever.
